SRJC Music Instructor Rudolf Budginas, a world-renowned pianist, will be joined by top industry musicians, Kenny Lee Lewis (guitarist from the Steve Miller Band) and John Whitney (drummer for Sonoma County’s own Kingsborough). Students from SRJC’s Music Programs will join this eclectic, electric trio in a performance that is sure to inspire.
Rudolf is a brilliant, internationally-renowned concert pianist, whose deft fingers have delighted audiences from Denmark to Japan and a dozen countries in between. He has acquired numerous international awards and honors and has a movie star-like personal charm, charisma and perhaps most importantly, a sense of humor, which allows him to connect and interact with his audiences.
Kenny has been a regular touring member, producer and writer for The Steve Miller Band since 1982. An accomplished studio guitarist and bassist for over 30 years, he released several comtemporary jazz instrumental guitar CDs. He is a gifted and multi-talented musician, who “rocks” with the best and also shines as a jazz artist. —Concerned Citizen
John is the drummer from the talented local group KINGSBOROUGH. Determined to help revive authentic, soulful rock music, KINGSBOROUGH has become one of the North Bay’s most entertaining and fastest rising acts. "Highly syncopated and in your face, Whitney’s musicianship can be appreciated by his cleverly simplistic rhythms and builds tension in the song until the point where everything comes together." —The Oak Leaf
